If I can sew, anyone can sew. My home ec teacher got so frustrated with my lack of sewing ability that she literally ripped the project out of my hands and finished it for me. You just have to dive in (start with curtains, tablecloths, towels and napkins, then move on to simple skirts). Expect lots of mistakes and funny-looking results at first.
